Carboxy Therapy is an innovative technique which aims to reduce cellulite, stretch marks and scars but can also be used to stimulate hair growth. The treatment is quick, safe, and without risk of allergies or intolerance.

How is it done?

During a session Carbon dioxide is used as a gas injection under the surface of the skin. Carbon Dioxide is an invisible, odorless gas that exists as part of our natural atmosphere and has been shown to kill fat cells. Medical research shows that it also promotes re-oxygenation which in turn reduces fluid buildup allowing skin to produce more Collagen.

How does it work for hair growth?

During a session the gas is injected into the skin in areas of hair loss using shallow injections with a thin needle. Under the influence of Co2’s reaction with the water contained in tissue, oxygen is released from hemoglobin and blood flow is increased in the area of application.

This stimulation of the hair follicle promotes the hair growth.

How long before you see results?

Whilst the treatment can be performed in a single session we would recommended to complete a series of treatments at repeating intervals. Treatments can be spaced in as little as weekly sessions depending on individual needs.

After a series of treatments (usually around 8–10), hair loss is reduced and new hair growth is stimulated.

What can Carboxy therapy be used for?

Carboxy therapy can be used for a variety of hair loss conditions, these include androgenetic alopecia, alopecia areata and hair loss caused by pregnancy or stress.

It is also beneficial alongside complimentary therapies such as Meso-therapy in which active ingredients are injected into the middle layer of the skin stimulating growth of thicker healthier hair.

The Carboxy Therapy device used at crown creations uses small amounts of sterile carbon dioxide in a controlled manner and is applied by a fully certified aesthetician.
